Who We Are
Behold is a Catholic faith formation app. We are committed to handling your personal information with care and respect.
What We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Your password is encrypted using industry-standard hashing — we never store it in plain text and cannot read it.
Usage data: While you use the app, we collect information about how you interact with lessons and prayers — which cards you complete, which answers you choose, how long you spend on each activity, your streak history, and your progress through the curriculum. We use this data to understand how people learn and to improve the app.
No other data: We do not collect payment information, location data, or any data from your device beyond what is described above.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Save your progress and streaks
- Improve lesson content and the learning experience
- Send you occasional product updates (you may opt out at any time)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for any purpose other than operating and improving Behold.
How We Store Your Information
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a third-party database provider. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and processes data under a formal Data Processing Addendum. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. We retain your data only for as long as your account is active.
Children
Behold is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we materially change this policy, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
